Application deadline 16th february 2024

 

For 16 years, THE HEAVENT AWARDS, co-organised by HEAVENT and NEWS ÉVÉNEMENTS, have been celebrating the most outstanding events of the past year. They represent a unique opportunity to give high visibility to the best event achievements that took place between January 1st, 2023 and December 31st, 2023 in a face-to-face, digital or hybrid format.

Since 2023, the HEAVENT AWARDS have also rewarded :
– venues and/or destinations that have produced or co-produced major events
– service providers who have produced exceptional technical events
NB: for these last 2 Awards, please refer to the LOCATIONS / DESTINATIONS / SERVICE SUPPLIERS CATEGORIES section at the bottom of the page.

AGENCY SCHEDULE :

1/ Complete the application form(s) before 16th February 2024
(access the form at the bottom of this page)

Online registration is open from 20th December 2023 to 16th February 2024. All companies, agencies, exhibition and conference organisers who have produced an event corresponding to one of the 9 categories below are eligible to apply. Please note that the same application may be submitted in a maximum of 2 categories.
Attention : applications will only be accepted once the entry fee has been paid and the application form has been duly completed.

2/ Selection of finalists at the end of February 2024

The partner associations, Heavent, News Evenements and some members of the jury will select 3 to 7 finalists per category.
The nominated agencies will be informed by email.

3/ Presentation on 27th and 28th March 2024

For each shortlisted entry, the candidates (agency and client) will have to present together their project live in front of the jury on Wednesday 27and Thursday 28 March in Cannes.
The presentations will be held over the two days and will be followed by a deliberation session of the jury. Their votes represent 60% of the final score.

4/ HEAVENT AWARDS ceremony on 28 March 2024

It will take place in the “Grand Auditorium” of the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes in presence of all the actors of the event sector: Top buyers and participants of Heavent Meetings. They will participate in the election of the winners by voting for 40% of the final score.

AGENCY CATEGORIES

1 – BtoB Event Award

Event targeting a professional audience. Road show, product launch, public relations operation, customer/prospect evening, press conference, open day, sales events …

2 – BtoC Event Award

Public event, B-to-C road show, pop-up store, exhibition, street-marketing…

3 -Internal communication event award

Product launch, sales force meeting, , internal evening event, workshop, conference…

4 – Exceptional event award

Major event like commemoration, opening ceremony, summit … gathering a large number of participants and involving the design of exceptional creation, technical production and logistics.

5 – Sports, cultural, educational or entertainment event award 

Creation of an event, activation of brands in sponsoring, deployment of a partnership, exhibition, music festival, show

6 – Brand experience and multi-channel award

Remarkable event experience proposed by a brand to its audiences in different communication channels to promote and valorize a brand, a product, or values.

7 – Influence and media relations event award

Event targeting the general public using communication via the media and/or influencers to increase brand or product awareness.

8 – Travel, incentive or team building award

Event designed to thank and/or motivate teams.

9 – Forum, summit, congress, trade show award

In B2B, B2E or B2C, innovative tools, uplifting the traditional formats of these event typologies.

In addition, the jury will also award the Grand Prix du Jury and the International Grand Prix du Jury.

These special awards will not be voted on by the public.

RATING CRITERIA (common to each category)

  • Creativity/innovation: creative, original idea and technological innovation
  • Quality of production: design, finish, technical expertise, logistics, etc.
  • Effectiveness: achievement of objectives (ROI, KPIs, studies, media and/or business impact, etc.)
  • Quality of the oral presentation in front of the jury
  • CSR: consideration of environmental and social issues in the execution of the project
  • Common presentation by the agency AND the client

AGENCY CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

En By submitting an entry form, each candidate undertakes to respect the rules:

  • The deadline for sending the elements: administrative file, questionnaire, videos, participation fees, etc.
  • The conformity of the elements requested
  • The schedule for the presentations: agencies AND clients agree to be available on 27th and 28th March 2024 for the presentation in Cannes (departure on 29th March 2024).

AGENCY DEADLINE OF ENTRIES AND PROVIDING OF ELEMENTS

Applications must be completed online by 16th February 2024.

CATEGORIES LOCATIONS/DESTINATIONS/PROVIDERS

– Award for the event produced or co-produced by a venue, destination, exhibition centre or convention centre

– Award for Outstanding Technical Achievement by a Service Provider

Online entries are open from 20th December 2023 to 16th February 2024.
Eligible applicants are:

  • Venues, destinations, exhibition and convention centres that have produced or co-produced a major event between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2023
  • Service providers who have produced an exceptional technical event between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2023

These entries will not be presented to the HEAVENT AWARDS jury. They will be submitted exclusively to the public vote at the HEAVENT AWARDS ceremony on 28 March 2024.

900 euros excl. VAT (1080 euros including VAT) for the first application
350 euros excl. VAT (420 euros including VAT) for each additional application
An early bird rate is available if you submit your application before 15th January 2024:
800 euros excl. VAT (960 euros including VAT) for the first application
300 euros excl. VAT (360 euros including VAT) for each additional application

We are pleased to offer three nights at a 5* hotel in Cannes on 26th, 27th and 28th March 2024 to the nominees (2 persons per nomination: 1 person representing the agency and 1 person representing the client) who will have been shortlisted by the jury and who will have to take part in the presentations in Cannes.
